In November 2013 the protest and movement led by Suthep Thaugsuban (former Democratic Deputy Prime Minister in 2010) are growing and protesters seize several government buildings. Voilence begins, and the leader of the Party for Democratic Reform (CBRDP) unveils its "Thailand Project: ‘Reform before the election.’” The movement demands the resignation of the government and the establishment of a board of unelected people, and the "disappearance of corruption." Protesters seize Government House where the Prime Minister sat. Yingluck Shiwanatra then dissolves parliament and announces the holding of parliamentary elections in February, 2014. Suthep Thaugsuban immediately announces a boycott of the poll and then launches a paralysis operation on the capital, "Bangkok Shutdown" beginning January 13, 2014. By preventing legislature, Suthep gradually pushes the country into a new political crisis. Thousands of people participate in the the public’s revolution and quickly set up blockades on various important roadways of Bangkok. Long marches of protesters led by the EAFRD itself were organized to rally people for the cause. The CBRDP has been accused of seeking conflict with pro-government groups to justify a governmental overthrow, sometimes in a carnival atmosphere that can suddenly turn into violent confrontation. Suthep, supported by the Democratic Party, wants to extend the paralysis of operations until the "final victory", ie when the country is free of the "Thaksin System" and corruption. The Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra will eventually be removed beginning in May 2014 by the National Anti-Corruption Commission for negligence and suspicsions of corruption as a result of of her controversial program of subsidies to rice farmers.
